Villa Positano is one of the most exclusive historic residences on the Amalfi Coast: a remarkable private luxury villa overlooking the sea, located in the elegant Liparlati district of Positano, from which it takes its name in honor of the patron saint.

Built in 1741 by wealthy merchants and restored to its original splendor through a careful multi-year conservation project, the property today offers a perfect balance between the authentic charm of 18th-century architecture – with arched loggias, vaulted frescoed ceilings, and high-quality historic details – and modern standards of comfort and high-end services. The interiors of Villa Positano span multiple levels, offering elegant spaces designed for both socializing and maximum privacy. The ground floor hosts the main common areas: a refined dining room divided into two connected spaces with vaulted ceilings, a large living room made up of several frescoed rooms, and a fully equipped professional kitchen, ideal for personalized culinary experiences prepared by the dedicated staff. The kitchen includes gas burners, double ovens, a microwave, large fridge/freezer, double sinks, an American coffee machine, an Italian espresso machine, and other professional appliances. There is also a wood-fired oven for pizzas, fish, meats, and fresh bread.

The living room is equipped with a 55" plasma TV, a desk with integrated office services (scanner, fax, and photocopier, all Wi-Fi enabled), an iPad for guests, and an iPod with Bluetooth connected to a portable Bose stereo. Two guest bathrooms are also available.

Four French doors open directly onto the stunning arched loggia, shaded by a retractable pergola supported by an elegant colonnade. This outdoor space is ideal for relaxed breakfasts, sunny lunches, sunset aperitifs, and dinners under the stars, with Positano as a scenic backdrop.

Outside, Villa Positano is surrounded by panoramic terraces and manicured gardens overlooking the sea, offering spectacular views of the Mediterranean and Positano’s iconic skyline. The infinity pool, seamlessly integrated into the landscape, is one of the property’s most striking features: it measures 4.50 x 8.50 meters, with a maximum depth of 1.30 meters, and is available from April 1 to October 31. The surrounding sun terraces are perfect for relaxing moments, while the garden—with lawn, fruit trees, and a small vegetable patch—creates a private and pleasant atmosphere.

The property can accommodate up to 27 guests and offers a range of accommodations, including elegant sea-view suites and independent apartments in the attic. All rooms are fully equipped with amenities, including a courtesy kit (shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, and body lotion), hairdryer, safe, minibar, air conditioning, heating, Wi-Fi, and comfortable seating, all set in spaces with refined and welcoming style.

Just a few minutes’ walk from the center of Positano, the villa does not require a car, though valet parking is available.
