The annexed large Vistarenni farm (more than 100 acres) hosts the XVII century Villa that was owned by the noble family of Prince Ferdinando Strozzi and later by Baron Giorgio Sonnino. Today Villa Vistarenni is considered an official historical monument and cultural heritageof the state of Italy. You can visit the historical cellars beautifully carved in stone with `volte a crociera` ceilingin `cotto` tiles. Here, Wine ages and gets flavoured in oak barrels and barrique. The interior of the house displays signs of its glorious past, with golden coffered ceiling,paintings, `cotto` tiled floors, painted wooden beams, curtains and upholstery, design objects and furniture, and finally, the ancient kitchen.
Villa Vistarenni is particularly suitable for weddings, hosting 34 people in the Villa and the Dependances. The charm surrounding the villa is a perfect setting for a refined and romantic wedding or event. The beautiful facade of the villa and the natural set of the Chianti hills would be the background of your nicest photos, and the most magic moments of your life will be sealed in a perfect union of poetry and harmony. A few yards away there is a Chapel, an architectural delight protected by cypresses stretching out toward the sky. This small sixteenth century building in the neo renaissance style is perfectly restored. The lintel bears the date 1584 and the church is dedicated to the Florentine Saint Maria Magdalena de' Pazzi (1566-1607), one of the most famous and worshipped ecstatic saints of Catholicism. It is here that you can celebrate a blessing. The hall of the Villa can host 150 people but if you'd rather celebrate it outdoors, the garden is an ideal place for a unique wedding, for which every detail will be excellently looked after, making it an unforgettable moment and experience.
