Nordic Walking
The Nordic walking, compared to the normal walking, requires the application of the strain on sticks to every footstep. This implies the use of the whole body and determines the use of the muscular groups of the chest, dorsal muscles, three-headed, two-headed, shoulders, abdominal and spinal muscles. This activity can produce an increase up to 46% of the energy consumption in comparison to the walking without sticks, which are shorter then the one employed in the cross-country ski, but they are still very similar.
